Active care for healthy joints with hyaluron-chondroitin complex and the added Plus of vitamins and trace elements:
Unlike other products, MENA arthro Plus contains hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate in the form of a complex. This ensures that both ingredients are protected from degradation in the stomach and are able to reach the joints via the circulatory system.
MENA arthro Plus contains both of these ingredients that are needed for healthy joint cartilage as a hyaluron-chondroitin complex (HCh complex) and in a much more concentrated form than regular products.
Hyaluronic acid possesses a high viscosity and is the main component of synovial fluid, which lubricates the joints and also serves to transport important nutrients.
As the body ages it produces less hyaluronic acid, leading to a reduced viscosity of the synovial fluid and reducing its ability to act as a shock absorber. This leads to increased wear of the joint cartilage. Hyaluronic acid supplementation helps to increase cartilage cell density and stimulates the production and regeneration of cartilage. The large dose of hyaluronic acid present in MENA arthro Plus can therefore lead to a significant improvement.
We exclusively use hyaluronic acid of the optimum molecular size for efficient uptake into the joint for the manufacture of our product.
Chondroitin is the main component of cartilage tissue. It has a very high capacity to bind water and keeps the joints supple and flexible. Chondroitin also keeps the cartilage permeable to the nutrients required by the cartilage cells. This function is especially important as cartilage is not supplied with nutrients directly by the bloodstream, but via the synovial fluid.
If the body is missing chondroitin, less nutrients are able to reach the cartilage, the cartilage cells lose water, shrink, and finally die. The cartilage degenerates and loses its protective ability, leading to painful and swollen joints.
Supplementation with chondroitin sulfate can inhibit inflammation and swelling of the joints.
The amino acid L-arginine promotes blood flow by widening and relaxing the blood vessels. This ensures an improved and rapid supply of nutrients to the
synovial fluid and the joint. Arginine also promotes muscle growth and is a source of nitrogen for a variety of physiological processes.
Vitamins E and C are powerful antioxidants and are important for healthy cartilage. Insufficient vitamin C leads to weak and brittle connective tissue, and the joints lose their elasticity. The result is painful, swollen and stiff joints, particularly in the morning.
Zinc is an indispensable trace element and is involved in the inhibition of inflammation as a component of many enzymes. In combination with vitamin C it can support the healing of inflammations, reduce recuperation time, and lessen symptoms.
Like zinc, magnesium is a vital mineral and is needed for the activation of over 300 different enzymes. It plays a particularly important role in energy metabolism, muscle function, and the nervous system.
Significantly lower than normal levels of the trace elements zinc and magnesium are often found in people with chronic osteoarthritis affecting multiple joints. Studies have shown that taking zinc supplements leads to an improvement of the symptoms of swollen joints, leads to better joint mobility in the morning, improves the ability to walk, and leads to an overall improvement in general well-being.
